We are thrilled to introduce "Art at Night", a wellness initiative designed to promote mindfulness and relaxation among night-shift nurses. This program empowers your team to engage in creative activities that support their wellbeing while earning up to 1.0 nursing contact hour for participation.

Program Highlights

"Art at Night" is a thoughtfully designed program aimed at promoting mindfulness and relaxation while supporting the well-being of night-shift nurses. To keep the experience fresh and engaging, the program features a rotating selection of creative projects each quarter. This quarter's offerings include Mandala Designs, Pottery Making, and Paper Weaving—each chosen to inspire creativity and provide a calming outlet during demanding shifts. Participants are welcome to work on the projects individually or collaborate in groups, depending on their preference. All necessary materials and easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions are provided, ensuring that every nurse can enjoy the benefits of artistic expression regardless of prior experience.

How It Works

To get started, simply click the button below to complete the registration form for your unit. Once registered, you’ll receive art kits designed for easy distribution—each kit includes supplies for all three featured art projects and can accommodate up to 12 staff members. As you facilitate participation among night-shift nurses, please ensure that all participants complete the provided sign-in sheets during each project session. Each activity takes approximately 20 minutes, and to earn 1.0 nursing contact hour, participants must complete all three projects and submit a program evaluation form. After the sessions, e-mail the completed sign-in sheets to HealthPromotion@nyulangone.org so nursing contact hours can be processed.

Supply Replenishment

Additional supplies can be requested as needed to ensure the program continues smoothly; however, to help manage resources effectively, completed sign-in sheets for all three projects must be submitted before any replenishment order can be processed. These replenishment requests can be conveniently submitted using the same registration form as your initial request.

Delivery Timeline

Art kits may take up to 10 business days to arrive after submitting your request, as orders are fulfilled weekly on Tuesdays.
